Review Article | The potential benefits of the combination of direct air capture and CO2 methanation are assessed and quantified through three different processes. Detailed heat inte gration studies and sensitivity analyses demonstrate potential energy demand reductions and
the feasibility of autothermal operation. The combined reactor design offers significant benefits but requires further development.
